उपेंद्र लंबे वक्त से नीतीश कुमार के खिलाफ बयानबाजी कर रहे हैं. उधर, नीतीश कुमार ने भी साफ कर दिया था कि उपेंद्र कुशवाहा को जहां जाना है, वे जा सकते है…बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार से नाराजगी की खबरों के बीच उपेंद्र कुशवाहा ने सोमवार को अपना रास्ता जदयू से अलग कर लिया. उपेंद्र कुशवाहा ने सोमवार को प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस कर नई पार्टी राष्ट्रीय लोक जनता दल बनाने का ऐलान किया. कुशवाहा ने कहा कि आज से नई राजनीतिक पारी शुरू करने जा रहे हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि. वे इसी के साथ एमएलसी पद और जदयू की सदस्यता से इस्तीफा देते हैं. उपेंद्र कुशवाहा ने कहा कि 2 साल पहले जदयू में आया था. लेकिन अब नई राजनीतिक पारी शुरू कर रहा हूं. 2005 के बाद नीतीश विरासत को आगे बढ़ा रहे थे. उन्होंने. शासन में अच्छे से काम किया. बिहार को खौफनाक मंजर से बाहर निकालने में उन्होंने पूरी ताकत लगा दी. बिहार बाहर आया. लोगों में अमन शांति कायम हुआ. लेकिन उन्होंने अंत में बुरा कर दिया. अंत में अगर भला नहीं हुआ, तो सब बुरा. उपेंद्र की नाराजगी की खबरें तब से आ रही हैं, जब बिहार में महागठबंधन की सरकार बनने के बाद कुशवाहा को कोई मंत्री पद नहीं मिला था. माना जा रहा है कि कुशवाहा को उम्मीद थी की कैबिनेट विस्तार में उन्हें डिप्टी सीएम बनाया जाएगा, लेकिन नीतीश कुमार ने साफ कर दिया कि कोई दूसरा डिप्टी सीएम नहीं होगा.
