दिल्ली-एनसीआर में 12 कॉरीडोर (नोएडा-ग्रेटर नोएडा और रैपिड मेट्रो, गुरुग्राम सहित) पर 286 स्टेशनों के साथ 391 किलोमीटर मेट्रो नेटवर्क का संचालन करती है। दिल्ली-एनसीआर में चलने वाली मेट्रो से हर रोज लाखों यात्री सफर करते हैं। DMRC की प्रतिदिन की सेवा से न जाने कितने लोग अपने ऑफिस और कॉलेज जाते हैं। मेट्रो की मदद से आप दिल्ली की बदनाम जाम से भी बच जाते हैं। अगर इन लाखों लोगों में से आप भी एक हां तो यह खबर आपके काम की। दिल्ली मंत्रों ने ट्वीट कर बताया है कि कल यानि रविवार 19 फरवरी को एक मेट्रो सेत्शन का एक गेट पुर तरह से बंद रहेगा। दिल्ली मेट्रो ने ट्वीट करते हुए कहा, “अपडेट, केंद्रीय सचिवालय मेट्रो स्टेशन के गेट नंबर 5 से प्रवेश निकास 19/02/2023 रविवार से रेनोवेशन कार्यों के लिए बंद रहेगा। इस दौरान यात्री प्रवेश निकास के लिए गेट नंबर 1 और 2 का उपयोग कर सकते हैं।” वहीं इससे पहले शुक्रवार 10 फरवरी को भी केंद्रीय सचिवालय का गेट नंबर 1 बंद किया गया था। उस दौरान यात्रियों के लिए गेट नंबर 2 और 5 खुले रखे गए थे। आज दिल्ली मेट्रो 20 साल की हो गई। जी हां, 24 दिसंबर 2022 को दिल्ली मेट्रो के परिचालन के 20 साल पूरे हो गए हैं। दिल्ली मेट्रो का संचालन 24 दिसंबर, 2002 को शुरू हुआ था, जब तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने रेड लाइन के 8.4 किलोमीटर लंबे शाहदरा से तीस हजारी कॉरिडोर पर पहली ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाई थी। दिल्ली मेट्रो नेटवर्क का तेजी से विस्तार हुआ है।
