सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने RSS रूट मार्च के खिलाफ दायर तमिलनाडु सरकार की अपील खारिज कर दी है। बता दें कि राज्य सरकार ने मद्रास हाईकोर्ट के उस आदेश के खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दाखिल की थी, जिसमें हाईकोर्ट ने RSS को मार्च निकालने की अनुमति दी थी।गौरतलब है कि मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने 10 फरवरी को आरएसएस को तमिलनाडु में फिर से निर्धारित तिथि पर अपना मार्च निकालने की इजाजत दे दी थी। उच्च न्यायालय ने कहा था कि विरोध प्रदर्शन मजबूत लोकतंत्र के लिए जरूरी है।न्यायमूर्ति वी रामसुब्रमण्यम और न्यायमूर्ति पंकज मित्तल की पीठ ने मामले की सुनवाई की। इस दौरान राज्य सरकार के वकील मुकुल रोहतगी ने दलील दी थी कि मार्च निकालने का पूरी तरह अधिकार नहीं हो सकता, ठीक जिस तरह ऐसे मार्च निकालने पर पूरी तरह प्रतिबंध नहीं हो सकता। इसके बाद पीठ ने फैसला सुरक्षित रखा।वहीं, आरएसएस की ओर से वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता महेश जेठमलानी ने कहा था कि अनुच्छेद 19 (1)(बी) के तहत बिना हथियारों के शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से एकत्रित होने के अधिकार को बिना किसी बहुत मजबूत आधार के रोका नहीं जा सकता।साल 2 अक्टूबर को राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ ने एक रैली निकालने का एलान किया था। जिसके बाद तमिलनाडु सरकार ने आरएसएस को रूट मार्च आयोजित करने की अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया।
