केन्द्र सरकार ने उठाया बड़ा कदम, दुर्लभ बीमारियों के इलाज के लिए दवाओं और भोजन पर बुनियादी सीमा शुल्क खत्म
केन्द्र सरकार ने दुर्लभ बीमारियों के इलाज के लिए व्यक्तिगत उपयोग के लिए आयातित विशेष चिकित्सा उद्देश्यों के लिए सभी दवाओं और भोजन पर बुनियादी सीमा शुल्क में छूट दी है। आपको बता दें, आयात शुल्क में छूट 1 अप्रैल, 2023 से लागू हो जाएगी।सरकार ने विभिन्न प्रकार के कैंसर के इलाज में इस्तेमाल होने वाले पेम्ब्रोलिज़ुमाब (कीट्रूडा) को बुनियादी सीमा शुल्क से छूट दी है। दवाओं पर आम तौर पर 10 प्रतिशत का बुनियादी सीमा शुल्क लगता है, जबकि जीवन रक्षक दवाओं/टीकों की कुछ श्रेणियों पर 5 प्रतिशत या शून्य की रियायती दर लगती है वित्त मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी एक बयान में कहा गया है, “केंद्र सरकार ने दुर्लभ बीमारियों के लिए राष्ट्रीय नीति 2021 के तहत सूचीबद्ध सभी दुर्लभ बीमारियों के इलाज के लिए व्यक्तिगत उपयोग के लिए आयातित सभी दवाओं और विशेष चिकित्सा उद्देश्यों के लिए खाद्य पर मूल सीमा शुल्क से पूर्ण छूट दी है। विशेष चिकित्सा प्रयोजनों के लिए भोजन एक ऐसा खाद्य सूत्रीकरण है, जो किसी विशिष्ट बीमारी, विकार या चिकित्सा स्थिति से पीड़ित व्यक्तियों को उनके आहार प्रबंधन के एक भाग के रूप में पोषण संबंधी सहायता प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से है।इस छूट का लाभ उठाने के लिए, व्यक्तिगत आयातक को केंद्रीय या राज्य निदेशक स्वास्थ्य सेवा या जिले के जिला चिकित्सा अधिकारी/सिविल सर्जन से एक प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त करना होगा। जबकि, स्पाइनल मस्कुलर एट्रोफी या डचेन मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी के उपचार के लिए निर्दिष्ट दवाओं को पहले ही छूट प्रदान की जा चुकी है।
