चिराग दिल्ली फ्लाईओवर के मरम्मत का काम पूरा हो चुका है, और अब वाहन यहां फर्राटा भर सकेंगे. बुधवार से फ्लाईओवर पूरी तरह से ट्रैफिक के लिए शुरू रहेगा. बीते 1 महीने में कई बार बारिश के कारण फ्लाईओवर के मरम्मत के काम को रोकना पड़ा जिससे काम टाइमलाइन से पीछे हो गया लेकिन पीडब्ल्यूडी विभाग को दिन-रात काम करने की ज़िम्मेदारी दी गयी और इसे समय के साथ पूरा किया. पीडब्ल्यूडी मंत्री आतिशी ने कहा कि दिल्ली के लोगों को जाम से मुक्ति दिलाना हमारी प्राथमिकता है.इस दिशा पीडब्ल्यूडी ने तेज़ी से काम करते हुए चिराग दिल्ली फ्लाईओवर के मेन्टेनेंस का काम अपने टाइमलाइन से एक हफ्ते पहले पूरा कर लिया है. अब जब दोनों कैरिज-वे का काम पूरा हो चुका है तो आज से फ्लाईओवर को पूरी तरह से ट्रैफिक के लिए खोल दिया जायेगा.चिराग दिल्ली फ्लाईओवर के मेन्टेनेंस के कार्य पर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की नजर थी और वे इसकी मॉनिटरिंग कर रहे थे. उनके निर्देशन में यहां दोगुनी रफ़्तार से काम किया जा रहा था इसका नतीजा है कि आज से ये फ्लाईओवर ट्रैफिक मुक्त रहेगा. चिराग दिल्ली फ्लाईओवर के पहले कैरिज-वे का काम 31 मार्च को पूरा हो गया था दूसरे कैरिज-वे का काम 1 अप्रैल से शुरू हुआ था. महाराष्ट्र दिवस पर आतंकी हमले की आशंका, शिवाजी पार्क इलाके में धारा 144 लागू लेकिन दूसरे कैरिज-वे के मरम्मत कार्य के दौरान उसका एक लेन यातायात के लिए खोल दिया गया था.
