पश्चिम अफ्रीकी देश बुर्किना फासो में दिल दहला देने वाला मामला सामने आया है. यहां संदिग्ध जिहादियों ने 40 लोगों की हत्या कर दी है. बताया जा रहा है कि मरने वालों में 34 नागरिक और 6 सैनिक हैं. शहर के गवर्नर की ओर से बयान जारी कर कहा गया है कि सैनिकों और असैन्य स्वयंसेवकों की एक टुकड़ी पर अज्ञात हथियारबंद लोगों ने हमला कर दिया है . ये हमला शनिवार की शाम करीब 4 बजे हुआ है. इसमें 40 लोगों की मौत हो गई है. सरकारी बयान में कहा गया है कि अपनी धरती की रक्षा के लिए स्वयंसेवकों “VDP)” के 34 सहायक और 6 अस्थायी सैनिकों की मौत हुई है. जबकि 33 लोग घायल हुए हैं. घायलों को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है. रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक इस क्षेत्र में अल कायदा और इस्लामिक स्टेट से जुड़े इस्लामी संगठनों का कब्जा है, हालांकि अभी तक किसी भी संगठन ने हमले की जिम्मेदारी नहीं ली है. वहीं हमला करने वाली टुकड़ी से बचाव के लिए राजधानी औआहिगौया के एयरपोर्ट पर सैनिकों को तैनात किया गया है. बुर्किना फासो के सैन्य जुंटा ने हाल ही में अल-कायदा और इस्लामिक स्टेट समूह से जुड़े जिहादियों के हमले का मुकाबला करने के लिए राज्य को सभी आवश्यक साधन देने की घोषणा की थी
