प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के कार्यकाल के 9 साल पूरे हो चुके हैं. इसको लेकर वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने एक प्रेस कॉफ्रेंस रखी. इस दौरान वित्त मंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार ने पिछले नौ साल में अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों में कई बड़ी उपलब्धियां हासिल की हैं. उन्होंने कहा, सरकार ने कोरोना महामारी का डटकर सामना किया और 220 करोड़ वैक्सीन के डोज़ मुफ़्त दिये. वित्त मंत्री ने कहा, देश के ग़रीबों के लिए कई योजनाएँ लाईं गईं. जिसके तहत 3.5 करोड़ पक्के मकान और 11.72 करोड़ शौचालय बने. वहीं, 12 करोड़ लोगों तक पीने का पानी पहुँचाया गया. इसके अलावा 9.6 करोड़ तक फ्री घरेलू गैस कनेक्शन और कोविड महामारी में करोड़ों तक मुफ़्त राशन दिया गया. उन्होंने कहा कि पहले किसानों का 90% फर्टिलाइजर आयात होता आया है लेकिन सराकार ने बढ़े दामों को किसानों पर बोझ नहीं बनने दिया. मोदी सरकार ने इस बढ़ती क़ीमत को भरा है. वित्तमंत्री ने बताया कि 10% EWS कोटा से ग़रीबों को बहुत मदद मिली. वहीं,दिव्यांगों की मदद के लिए 7 से बढ़ाकर 21 श्रेणियाँ की गई हैं. सरकार की उपलब्धियों को गिनाते हुए उन्होंने कहा बीते नौ सालों में 74 नए एयरपोर्ट्स बने, 15 नए AIIMS बने, 700 नए मेडिकल कालेज बने और 7 नए आईआईटी बने हैं. इसके आगे वित्तमंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि हमने कोविड और रूस-यूक्रेन की वजह से क़रीब तीन साल कई चुनौतियाँ देखीं. जो वायदे घोषणापत्र में किए गए, वो ज़िम्मेदारी निभा रहे हैं .जब ये सवाल पूछा गया कि 2000 रुपये नोट की अगर ज़रूरत नहीं थी तो क्यों लाया गया ? इसपर उन्होंने कहा, क्लीन नोट पॉलिसी के तहत 2000 नोट हटाये गये.ये सवाल आरबीआई से पूछे जाने चाहिए.
