माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के संस्थापक बिल गेट्स ने शुक्रवार को प्रधानमंत्री मोदी से मुलाकात की है. इसके बाद बिल गेट्स ने बताया कि पीएम मोदी से मुलाकात के दौरान स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र, जलवायु परिवर्तन, भारत की जी20 अध्यक्षता और कई जरूरी मुद्दों पर बातचीत हुई है. अपने आधिकारिक ब्लॉग गेट नोट्स पर इस मीटिंग के बाद भारत की तारीफ करते हुए बिल गेट्स ने कहा कि भारत ने कोरोना महामारी के दौरान सस्ते और सुरक्षित टीकों का निर्माण करके दुनियाभर में करोड़ों लोगों की जान बचाने में मदद की है. इसमें बहुत से टीके गेट्स फाउंडेशन की मदद से दुनियाभर में बांटे गए हैं. इसके साथ ही बिल गेट्स ने भारत के वैक्सीन डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन पॉलिसी की भी प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि न सिर्फ इंडिया ने सस्ते और सुरक्षित टीके बनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई बल्कि इसे देशभर में प्रभावी तरीके से बांटा भी है. इसके लिए भारत में Co-WIN डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म का भी निर्माण किया गया जिसके जरिए देशभर में 220 करोड़ से ज्यादा कोविड वैक्सीन के डोज को लोगों तक पहुंचाने में मदद मिली है. लोग ऐप के जरिए घर बैठे अपने वैक्सीन को शिड्यूल करने में सक्षम हुए हैं. इसके साथ ही उन्हें इस ऐप से डिजिटल सर्टिफिकेट भी आसानी से प्राप्त हुआ है. इसके साथ ही बिल गेट्स ने अपने ब्लॉग में लिखा कि भारत ने कोरोना महामारी के दौरान डिजिटल पेमेंट में बड़ी उपलब्धि हासिल करते हुए देशभर में 30 करोड़ से ज्यादा लोगों के खाते में सरकार ने पैसे ट्रांसफर किए है. इसमें से 20 करोड़ महिला लाभार्थी थी. इसके साथ ही भारत का डिजिटल आईडी आधार कार्ड ने देश की विकास की गति को और आगे बढ़ाया है. इसने डिजिटल बैंकिंग को बढ़ावा देने में बहुत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है.बिल गेट्स ने यह भी कहा कि भारत की G20 अध्यक्षता बाकी देशों के लिए एक सुनहरा मौका है कि वह देश के डिजिटल पेमेंट, डिजिटल आईडी (आधार) जैसी चीजों को बेहतर ढंग से सीख सके. इसके साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि वह भारत में स्वास्थ्य, विकास और जलवायु परिवर्तन के मामले में पहले से कहीं अधिक आशावादी हैं.
