भारत सरकार के रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा है कि ज्ञान के साथ-साथ संस्कार बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण है ।संस्कार युक्त ज्ञान ही समाज एवं देश की दशा एवं दिशा को ऊर्जन्वित कर सकता है। श्री सिंह ने कहा कि आने वाले दशक में भारत अर्थव्यवस्था के मामले में शीर्ष तीन में अपना स्थान अवश्य प्राप्त करेगा ।रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह रोहतास जिले के गोपाल नारायण सिंह विश्वविद्यालय, जमुहार में द्वितीय दीक्षान्त समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में दर्जनों छात्र-छात्राओं को उपाधि प्रदान करने के उपरांत दीक्षान्त भाषण कर रहे थे ।
रक्षा मंत्री ने कहा कि शिक्षा देने वाले गुरुजन् एवं शिक्षा प्राप्त करने में अहम भूमिका निभाने वाले छात्र को माता-पिता को कभी नहीं भूलना चाहिए एवं आजीवन उनका चरण वंदन करना चाहिए। मुख्य अतिथि ने छात्रों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना करते हुए अपील किया कि उनके द्वारा अर्जित ज्ञान से भविष्य में समाज एवं देश का हित हो ऐसी कीर्ति करें। रक्षा मंत्री ने राम और रावण का उदाहरण देते हुए छात्रों को कहा कि रावण धन ,बल और ज्ञान सभी में राम से उपर था लेकिन आज देश में एवं दुनिया में रावण की पूजा नहीं होती राम की पूजा होती है ।क्योंकि राम का चरित्र स्वच्छ ,निर्मल एवं मर्यादा युक्त था जबकि रावण अहंकारी एवं चरित्रहीन था ।उन्होंने छात्रों का आह्वान किया की जिस मनोभाव से अपने ज्ञान का अर्जन किया है उसी मनोभाव से आप देश एवं समाज की सेवा जरूर करें क्योंकि समाज का ऋण हम सभी पर है। समारोह में 729 छात्र छात्राओं को उपाधि प्रदान किया गया जबकि 29 छात्रों को गोल्ड मेडल प्रदान किया गया।
इस अवसर पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सम्राट चौधरी, वीर कुंवर सिंह विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति डॉ शैलेंद्र चतुर्वेदी ,गोपाल नारायण सिंह विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति डॉ महेंद्र कुमार सिंह ,कुलसचिव डॉक्टर अभिषेक कामेन्दु,देव मंगल मेमोरियल ट्रस्ट के सचिव गोविंद नारायण सिंह, प्रबंध निदेशक त्रिविक्रम नारायण सिंह ने भी संबोधित किया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता विश्वविद्यालय के कुलाधिपति सह पूर्व सांसद गोपाल नारायण सिंह ने की जबकि धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गोविंद नारायण सिंह ने किया। इस अवसर पर विश्वविद्यालय के शासी निकाय Same सदस्य, डीन व सभी विभागों के अध्यक्ष ,शिक्षक ,कर्मचारी एवं छात्र छात्राएं उपस्थित रहे. रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह के पहुंचने के पहले पुलिस प्रशासन की चौकस व्यवस्था सभी प्रवेश एवं निकास द्वार पर लगाई गई थी बिना परिचय पत्र के एवं जांच किए बिना किसी को अंदर जाने की अनुमति नहीं थी सभागार के मंच पर डेहरी के अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी अशोक कुमार सिन्हा जिला के वरीय पदाधिकारी मनोज कुमार रोहतास पुलिस कप्तान अनुमंडल डीएसपी सक्रियता से सुरक्षा व्यवस्था मैं अपने अपने हिसाब से मजबूती से लगे हुए थे
