चीन के रक्षा मंत्री जनरल ली शांगफू भारत दौरे पर आने वाले हैं। गोवा में 27-28 अप्रैल को होने वाले शंघाई सहयोग संगठन SCO के सदस्यों के बीच रक्षा मंत्रियों की बैठक में वे भाग लेंगे। बता दें कि 2020 की गलवान घाटी में हुई झड़पों के बाद चीनी रक्षा मंत्री का ये पहला भारत दौरा होगा।जनरल ली शांगफू को पिछले ही महीने बीजिंग में रक्षा मंत्री बनाया गया है। पहले वे पिछले रक्षा मंत्री वेई फेंघ के उत्तराधिकारी थे। अमेरिका की तरफ से ली पर प्रतिबंध लगाया जा चुका है। उनके रक्षा मंत्री बनने के बाद से अनुमान लगया जा रहा था कि इससे अमेरिका-चीन के बीच रिश्तों में तनाव देखा जा सकता है।65 साल के ली शांगफू जिचांग सैटेलाइट लॉन्च सेंटर में काम कर चुके हैं। इससे पहले उन्होंने नेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ डिफेंस टेक्नोलॉजी से ग्रेजुएशन की। इसके बाद उन्हें स्ट्रैटिजिक सपोर्ट फोर्स ब्रांच का पहले सैनिक बनाया गया।2015 में स्ट्रैटिजिक सपोर्ट फोर्स ब्रांच की स्थापना हुई थी। इसका उद्देश्य स्पेस, राजनीतिक और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वॉरफेयर, साइबर टेक्निक के क्षेत्र में ध्यान केंद्रित करना था, साथ ही चीन का विकास करना भी था।
