पिछले महीने ही गूगल की पैरेंट कंपनी अल्फाबेट इंक ने घोषणा की थी कि करीब 12,000 कर्मचारियों की छंटनी की जाएगी. ये छंटनी वैश्विक स्तर पर कंपनी के कुल हेडकाउंट का लगभग 6 फीसदी होता है. अब कंपनी ने भारत से 453 कर्मचारियों को बाहर कर दिया है. दुनिया पर मंदी Recessionके साये के बीच छंटनी Layoff का सिलसिला लगातार जारी है और फेसबुक, ट्विटर, अमेजन समेत कई बड़ी फर्मों से कर्मचारियों को निकाले जाने के बाद हाल ही में गूगल भी इस रेस में शामिल हुआ था, अब एक बार फिर कंपनी ने बड़े पैमाने पर छंटनी की है और ये भारतीय यूनिट्स से की गई है… गूगल ने भारत में अपने 453 कर्मचारियों को बर्खास्त कर दिया है. बिजनेस टुडे पर छपी बिजनेसलाइन की रिपोर्ट की मानें तो इन 453 भारतीय कर्मचारियों के निकाले जाने की कार्रवाई गुरुवार रात की गई और मेल के जरिए जानकारी दी गई है. इस मेल को गूगल इंडिया के कंट्री हेड और वाइस प्रेसिडेंट संजय गुप्ता की ओर से भेजा गया है. इस मेल में छंटनी के फैसले पर गूगल की पैरेंट कंपनी अल्फाबेट के सीईओ भारतीय मूल के सुंदर पिचाई की सहमति का जिक्र भी किया गया है रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, कई कारणों की वजह से गूगल में छंटनी का फैसला लिया गया है और सुंदर पिचाई इन सभी फैसलों की पूरी जिम्मेदारी लेने के लिए सहमत हो गए है साल की शुरुआत यानी जनवरी 2023 में ही गूगल के सीईओ सुंदर पिचाई द्वारा भेजे गए नोट में उन्होंने दावा किया था कि अमेरिका के बाहर गूगल के निकाले गए कर्मचारियों को स्थानीय नियमों के मुताबिक सपोर्ट मिलेगा. जहां एक ओर गूगल ने भारत में 453 कर्मचारियों को बाहर का रास्ता दिखाया है, वहीं अभी तक ये स्पष्ट नहीं हो सका है कि वैश्विक स्तर पर कितने कर्मचारी प्रभावित हुए हैं, या टेक दिग्गज में और छंटनी होगी या नहीं. –पिछले महीने ही गूगल की पैरेंट कंपनी अल्फाबेट इंक ने घोषणा की थी कि करीब 12,000 कर्मचारियों की छंटनी की जाएगी. ये छंटनी वैश्विक स्तर पर कंपनी के कुल हे स्तर पर कंपनी के कुल हेडकाउंट का लगभग 6 फीसदी होता है. भारत में की गई ये छंटनी भी इसी आंकड़े में शामिल है या फिर देश में कंपनी ने छंटनी का दौर शुरू कर दिया है, ये साफ नहीं हो सका है. गूगल के अलावा अमेजन ने अपनी वर्क फोर्स में 18,000 कर्मचारियों की कटौती का फैसला लिया, तो वहीं फेसबुक ने पहले 11,000 कर्मचारियों को बाहर का रास्त दिखाया और अभी भी हजारों कर्मचारियों पर छंटनी की तलवार लटकी हुई है. छंटनी की रेस में शामिल अन्य कंपनियों में ट्विटर, अलीबाबा, वॉलमार्ट समेत अन्य कई नाम शामिल हैं.
