ईडी कविता का आमना-सामना गिरफ्तार आरोपी अरुण पिल्लई से करा सकती है, जो उनका कथित करीबी सहयोगी भी है. इंडिया टुडे के पास उन सबूतों की सूची है जिसके आधार पर ईडी दावा कर रही है कि कविता भी इस मामले में शामिल रही हैं और उनके खिलाफ पर्याप्त सबूत हैं. तो आइए जानते हैं कि आखिर वो कौन से सबूत हैं जो के. कविता के खिलाफ जा रहे हैं बुच्ची बाबू ने 23 फरवरी 2023 के अपने बयान में खुलासा किया था कि के. कविता और दिल्ली की सीएम तथा डिप्टी सीएम के बीच राजनीतिक सहमति थी. उस प्रक्रिया में के. कविता ने 19-20 मार्च, 2021 को विजय नायर से भी मुलाकात की. विजय नायर के. कविता को प्रभावित करने की कोशिश कर रहा था कि वह नीति में क्या कर सकता है. विजय नायर दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल और डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया की ओर से काम कर रहा था और उनकी ओर से आबकारी नीति पर काम कर रहा था. गौरी अपार्टमेंट में हुई बैठक के बाद इस बात पर सहमति बनी थी कि के. कविता के लिए नीति और दिल्ली शराब कारोबार में जो एहसान किया जा सकता है उसके बदले में कुछ फंड आप को दिया जाएगा. दिनेश अरोड़ा ने खुलासा किया है कि, विजय नायर ने उन्हें बताया था कि एल1 थोक व्यापारी के लिए एक्साइज पॉलिसी 12% प्रॉफिट मार्जिन के साथ तैयार की गई थी. इस 12% में से 6% लाभ को रिश्वत के रूप में AAP को वापस देने के लिए निर्धारित किया गया था. सभी एल1 को प्रिंसिपल अमाउंट के तौर पर 6% किक बैक मनी देनी थी लेकिन मुख्य फोकस केवल शीर्ष तीन थोक विक्रेताओं पर था. यह रिश्वत का पैसा आम आदमी पार्टी के पास बिजनेस के माध्यम से बाद में आया होगा. पार्टी को पंजाब और गोवा में चुनावों को लिए फंड की तत्काल आवश्यकता थी इसलिए विजय नायर ने अरुण पिल्लई, अभिषेक बोइनपल्ली और बुच्ची बाबू (जो के. कविता, एमएस और सरथ रेड्डी के नेतृत्व वाले साउथ ग्रुप के प्रतिनिधि थे) के साथ एक व्यवस्था की गई. साउथ ग्रुप ने विजय नायर (AAP के लिए) को 100 करोड़ रुपये एडवांस में दे दिए. और उन्हें 3 प्रमुख थोक विक्रेताओं से इस पैसे की वसूली करनी थी. इसके अलावा, इंडो स्पिरिट्स खुद साउथ ग्रुप द्वारा नियंत्रित एक इकाई थी, इसलिए पैसे की वसूली करना सीधे उसके नियंत्रण में था. जैसा कि अरुण पिल्लई ने 11 नवंबर, 2022 को दिए गए बयान में खुलासा और पुष्टि की थी कि साउथ ग्रुप, जिसमें के. कविता सदस्य थीं, उनके और विजय नायर (आप के नेताओं की ओर से) के बीच सौदा हुआ और 100 करोड़ रुपये के अग्रिम भुगतान के एवज में दिल्ली शराब कारोबार में इंडो स्पिरिट्स जैसे एल1 व्यवसायों की हिस्सेदारी दी गई. अरुण पिल्लई ने 16 फरवरी, 2023 को अपने बयान में फिर से साफ किया कि सौदा 100 करोड़ रुपये का था. दिनेश अरोड़ा और अरुण पिल्लई ने क्रमशः 03.10.2022 और 11.11.2022 के अपने बयान कहा कि अप्रैल, 2022 में ओबेरॉय मेडेंस, नई दिल्ली में एक बैठक हुई थी. इस बैठक में दिनेश अरोड़ा,अरुण पिल्लई, विजय नायर और के. कविता मौजूद थे. बैठक का एजेंडा साउथ ग्रुप द्वारा विजय नायर को अग्रिम भुगतान की गई रिश्वत की वसूली . था. बैठक की पुष्टि ओबेरॉय मेडेंस के होटल रिकॉर्ड से भी होती है विजय नायर (मनीष सिसोदिया और अन्य आप नेताओं के प्रतिनिधि) ने साउथ ग्रुप (जिसमें सारथ रेड्डी, एम श्रीनिवासुलु रेड्डी, राघव मगुन्टा और के. कविता शामिल थे. जिनका प्रतिनिधित्व अरुण पिल्लई, अभिषेक बोइनपल्ली और बुच्ची बाबू ने किया था) के साथ साजिश रची थी. 2021-22 की नई आबकारी नीति थोक विक्रेताओं के लिए असाधारण सर्वाधिक 12% प्रॉफिट मार्जिन और खुदरा विक्रेताओं के लिए लगभग 185% प्रॉफिट मार्जिन के साथ लाई गई थी. अग्रिम किकबैक भुगतान (100 करोड़ रुपये) के एवज में, विजय नायर ने यह सुनिश्चित किया कि, साउथ ग्रुप ने थोक व्यवसायों में हिस्सेदारी सुरक्षित कर ली है क्योंकि उनका दिल्ली के शराब कारोबार में में कोई पकड़ नहीं थी. नायर ने यह सुनिश्चित किया कि, उन्हें आबकारी नीति के अनुसार, उन्हें कई खुदरा लाइसेंस रखने की अनुमति दी गई थी और उन्हें अन्य कई खुदरा लाइसेंस रखने की अनुमति दी गई थी और उन्हें अन्य अनुचित लाभ दिए गए थे. साउथ ग्रुप के साथ हिस्सेदारी रखने वाली संस्थाओं में से एक समीर महेंद्रू की मैसर्स इंडो स्पिरिट्स है. समीर महेंद्रू ने साउथ ग्रुप के प्रतिनिधियों- अरुण पिल्लई और प्रेम राहुल मंदुरी को दिए गए 65% साझेदारी के साथ इस फर्म का गठन किया. जिन्होंने इस साझेदारी फर्म में क्रमश: के. कविता और मगुनता श्रीनिवासुलु रेड्डी / राघव मगुन्टा का प्रतिनिधित्व किया.
