भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की मौद्रिक नीति समिति ‘MPC’की तीन दिवसीय बैठक आज से शुरू हो रही है. वित्त वर्ष 2024 की दूसरी द्विमासिक बैठक आज 6 जून से 8 जून तक आयोजित होगी और इसके फैसलों का एलान 8 जून को किया जाएगा.रिजर्व बैंक गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास की अगुवाई वाली छह सदस्यीय मौद्रिक नीति समिति (एमपीसी) की 43वीं बैठक के फैसलों की घोषणा आठ जून यानी बृहस्पतिवार को होगी. अप्रैल में पिछली एमपीसी बैठक में आरबीआई ने ब्याज दर वृद्धि को रोक दिया था और रेपो दर को 6.5 फीसदी पर कायम रखा था. इससे पहले महंगाई पर लगाम लगाने के लिए मई, 2022 के बाद से लगातार वृद्धि करते हुए नीतिगत दर रेपो में 2.5 फीसदी वृद्धि की गई थी.एमपीसी की बैठक उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक (सीपीआई) आधारित रिटेल महंगाई दर के अप्रैल में 18 महीनों के निचले स्तर 4.7 फीसदी पर आने के बाद हो रही है. आरबीआई गवर्नर ने हाल ही में संकेत दिए थे कि मई में यह आंकड़ा अप्रैल से भी नीचे जा सकता है. जैसा कि ज्यादातर आर्थिक जानकारों का मानना है कि आरबीआई के गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास की अगुवाई में होने वाली मॉनिटरी पॉलिसी कमिटी (एमपीसी) की बैठक में केंद्रीय बैंक रेपो रेट में कोई बदलाव नहीं करेगा. रेपो रेट को 6.5 फीसदी पर स्थिर रखा जाएगा और देश में महंगाई के घटते आंकड़ों के बीच ये फैसला आम जनता को राहत देने के लिए लिया जा सकता है. जानकारों का कहना है कि आरबीआई की मानसून की प्रगति पर भी नजर है और अल नीनो खरीफ की फसल पर दुष्प्रभाव डाल सकता है, जिससे कीमतों पर भी असर पड़ सकता है. बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा के मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री मदन सबनवीस ने कहा कि आरबीआई के ब्याज दरों पर विराम लगाने और नीतिगत दर रेपो के 6.5 फीसदी पर ही रहने की बहुत ज्यादा संभावना है. मई के लिए सीपीआई की घोषणा 12 जून को होगी.
