कर्नाटक में खुलेंगी 250 इंदिरा कैंटीन, मिलेगा सस्ता भोजन

बेंगलुरु, 12 जून (भाषा) कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धरमैया ने सोमवार को अधिकारियों को कम से कम 250 इंदिरा कैंटीन शुरू करने का निर्देश दिया। यह कैंटीन बेंगलुरू के प्रत्येक वार्ड में कम कीमतों पर भोजन उपलब्ध कराती हैं। कांग्रेस ने अपने घोषणापत्र में मौजूदा कैंटीनों का कायाकल्प करने और उन्हें पूरे राज्य में विस्तारित करने का वादा किया था। इंदिरा कैंटीन को पहली बार 2013-18 के बीच सिद्धरमैया के पहले कार्यकाल के दौरान शुरू किया गया था। मुख्यमंत्री ने सोमवार को इंदिरा कैंटीन सेवा के प्रावधान और उसके प्रबंधन के संबंध में शीर्ष अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की। उन्होंने बैठक के बाद संवाददाताओं से कहा, ‘हमने इंदिरा कैंटीन को फिर से शुरू करने के लिए चर्चा की है। प्रत्येक वार्ड (बेंगलुरु के) में एक इंदिरा कैंटीन खोली जानी है। मैंने बेंगलुरु शहर में कम से कम 250 इंदिरा कैंटीन शुरू करने का निर्देश दिया है।’ .मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि कैंटीन में भोजन की कीमतों में कोई संशोधन नहीं होगा और यहां भोजन की मौजूदा दरें ही जारी रहेंगी। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, फिलहाल बेंगलुरु में 175 इंदिरा कैंटीन हैं, जिसमें 163 कैंटिन चालू हैं। यहां पांच रुपये में नाश्ता उपलब्ध करवाया जाता है, जबकि दोपहर और रात के भोजन की कीमत दस रुपये है।
